How many seminar modules are offered and which combinations are possible?
Eight specialist modules are offered. These can be combined into 30 different, practically focused seminar packages to form a tailored education programme. Every combination is both useful and possible.
What is the minimum programme length?
The duration depends on the number of selected modules. A single Focus module can be completed in two days, or a full programme covered in a minimum of eight weeks of seminars.
Do the seminars provide only “textbook facts” or do they also refer to practical situations?
Theory is the basis of any high-quality education. However, in our seminars, we place great value on striking a balance between theory and practice. The trainers are practical experts who are always looking to present the seminar contents in the most attractive format possible. Thanks to an academic support programme in cooperation with the Department of Business Education at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, we can also guarantee a high level of practical relevance. This includes continuous monitoring of the education requirements of top Austrian companies, which in turn allows us to modify our course contents as required.
What is meant by 1st Business Certificate "Focus" and 1st Business Certificate "Complete"?
The “Focus” seminars provide a summary of the most important principles from a practical perspective. In the “Complete” format, in addition to Focus knowledge, specialist information for practical situations is also provided. Supplementary knowledge builds ideally on basic principles and both complement each other perfectly.
How can I benefit from an additional business qualification?
In almost every occupation, greater responsibility is accompanied by a need for knowledge of business basics. Leading employees, creating products or services, acquiring customers or ensuring their loyalty to your company are important topics, and for each of these activities, a sound business education is essential.
Do domestic companies and organisations know about and recognise the certificates?
Our academic support project includes cooperation with leading companies represented in Austria and abroad. The feedback provided by leading business people, who have a major influence on the programme contents, represents a valuable component in our seminar package.
If I attend a Complete seminar as part of the 1st Business Certificate, does that stop me from attending a Focus seminar?
The Complete seminars provide the contents in full, while the Focus format offers an introduction to the key practical elements of a particular subject. This means that the Complete seminars are not complementary, but represent the most comprehensive part of the 1BC education programme. Completed Focus seminars can, however, be “topped up” and expanded to form a Complete course.
Does every seminar module include an examination?
Every seminar module is rounded off with an examination covering the entire contents of that particular module. Each examination lasts around 45 minutes.
Are sample questions available for each examination?
No sample examination papers are available. All of the information required for ideal examination preparation is provided during the seminar.
